Animal cosmetics: a growing sector

In Spain, one in every two households has a pet; the country places fifth in Europe when it comes to spending in this area. However, it is still far from the main European countries when it comes to expenses related to pet care. For many, pets are part of the family and this “humanization” is not limited to diet. "Animal cosmetics barely existed before the crisis () but it is a growing market”, explains Lluc Ferrer, President of the Spanish Association of Distributors of Pet Products (AEDPAC). A great depiction of the added value gained by these products is the development of the packaging for the dog shampoo range “OH, MY DOG!”. This project, developed in France by manufacturer SERONA and distributed internationally, incorporates several high-value elements and processes, providing a good example of what PETROPLAST can technically do in complex designs.

The main decorative element is a large GOLD HOT STAMPING on the front of the tube, with a similar touch added around the cap, to give the packaging a uniform look.

All this, combined with an elegant and attractive base tube colour specifically created for the range, results in a striking high-quality final packaging which supports the sales to a growing market and does not spare any expense regarding pet care.
